Research Associate—”War or Peace: Applied History
and the Prospects for an Israeli-Iranian Rapprochement” Project

The Initiative is offering a limited number of opportunities to work on the Initiative’s current project, “War or Peace: Applied History and the Prospects for an Israeli-Iranian Rapprochement.” 

The opportunity spans the entire research phase, from November 2022 to April 2023. Successful applicants will be awarded an honorarium of £1,000 at the end of the project, with opportunities for additional stipendiary work throughout the course of the project. 

The position offers extensive opportunities for networking with a high-level global network of experts and specialists, as well as opportunities for travel. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and summarizing books and academic articles in English, Hebrew, and Persian.

  • Conducting interviews with academics, experts, and policymakers, either virtually or in person.

  • Drafting sections of the project and proof-reading.

  • Discussions with members of the project team about progress and current affairs. 

Preference will be given to graduate applicants, but motivated undergraduates are very welcome to apply. Literacy in Persian and/or Hebrew is extremely desirable.
